
Post-Doctoral Fellowship
Post-doctoral fellows work full-time (40 hours/week) for 1 year under the license of a psychologist to provide individual therapy and conduct psychological/psychoeducational evaluations. Fellows will have 20-25 client contact hours a week and the remaining time will be dedicated towards supervision and administrative tasks, including documentation and writing comprehensive reports.
Individual Therapy
Carry a caseload of 5-10 primarily virtual therapy clients, but sessions can be held in-person
Intakes for new clients will be scheduled for fellows
Follow-up therapy sessions will be scheduled by fellows
Psychological Evaluations
Conduct 1-3 in-person testings a week
Intakes and in-person testing will be scheduled for fellows
Feedback sessions will be scheduled by fellows approximately 3 weeks from date of testing
Administer and score digital and paper tests
Write comprehensive evaluation reports consisting of history, behavioral observations, tests results, and recommendations
Training
Required Qualifications
Experience providing individual psychotherapy to children and/or adults
Experience conducting psychological and psychoeducational evaluations to individuals across the lifespan with emphasis on adults
Completion of an APA-accredited doctorate in clinical, counseling, or school psychology
Completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral psychology internship
Registered as a Psychology Associate in Maryland or ability to obtain registration
Always working on cultural humility and towards cultural competence
Desired Qualifications
Interest in and previous work with individuals of various cultural identities, including marginalized identities
Clinical experience with autism spectrum disorder
Conceptualization of clients that integrates cultural factors
Experience conducting psychological evaluations on adults, particularly for ADHD and ASD among high-masking individuals
Qualifications
The fellowship program is designed for those who want to gain experience in community based care within a private practice setting. Clients are primarily from one, if not multiple, non-dominant identity groups and use insurance when seeking services. Fellows will receive the following:
W-2 employee with a salary of $50,000 paid bi-weekly
